Talk a little about the North Carolina Textile Foundation and what it means to be a member.

As a member of the global textile community, Glen Raven places tremendous value on its association with the North Carolina Textile Foundation (NCTF). Innovation and transformational change occurs when we make it compelling for those individuals with the greatest potential to enter the textile industry. Therefore, we must support, create opportunity, challenge and advocate for those who are investing so much of themselves in preparing the next generation of textile industry leaders.

What inspires you to give your time and treasure to the Wilson College of Textiles and North Carolina Textile Foundation?

In my opinion, the Wilson College of Textiles is the greatest education and research asset to which our industry has access. The passion and enthusiasm exhibited by Dean Hinks and his team inspires us to support them so they can focus on advancing our industry and those who will lead.

What do you see in the future for the Wilson College of Textiles?

It is an exciting time to be in the textile industry. Rapidly changing market dynamics, innovations in technology and application, emerging markets and geopolitical forces all converge to create a need for creative, entrepreneurial and highly skilled professionals to lead our industry into the future. With broad industry support, the Wilson College of Textiles will continue to lead this transformational change in the global textile industry.

Any other information you would like to share?

I look forward to working with this group of inspirational leaders to push our industry forward.
