Textiles Research Open House

April 16, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Textiles Research Open House is a one-day event created to share textiles-related research with industry professionals and NC State Wilson College of Textiles students. Organized by the Textile Association of Graduate Students with support provided by The VF Foundation, the event aims to open a dialogue and establish networks with those involved in textiles and related industries.

Attendees to the 2018 Textiles Research Open House will hear from Wilson College of Textiles graduate students during concurrent oral presentations. They will also attend a poster session featuring the exciting work of both graduate and undergraduate Textiles students; the students will discuss their advancements in textile sciences and design with topics of interest including protective textiles, wearable technology, medical textiles, nonwovens, color chemistry, global markets, manufacturing innovation and more.

Scott A. Deitz, Vice President, Public Affairs for VF Corporation, will present the keynote address. Scott leads the public affairs and corporate relations functions at VF Corporation in Greensboro, North Carolina. He has been with VF since 2013.

The open house will also feature “Trends in Apparel and Footwear”, a panel discussion with industry leaders. See the full agenda here. There is no charge for this event, however registration is necessary to attend the presentations and the lunch.
