Laila Imad Knio

Laila Imad Knio – from Raleigh, NC graduated from Athens Drive Senior High School. She took a total of 9 AP courses in her high school career as well as being the Vice President of National Honor Society, secretary of Thespian Society, and Co-President of both the French and Psychology clubs. She was an active member of the theater department, performing in shows such as LATS, the musical, Little Shop of Horrors, and the Miracle Worker. She also volunteers at Raleigh Little Theater as a teacher’s assistant, and at the Cary Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was a first violinist and concert master of her high school orchestra, and was voted by her teachers as the Queen of the Glass Slipper Court during her senior year for outstanding character. She is a dancer for the Triangle Lebanese Association Team Dabke Group and performs at the International and Lebanese Festivals every year. Laila plans to pursue a degree in Textile Engineering.
