NC Textile Foundation President Honored for Professional Work

Ellen Rohde, interim president of the North Carolina Textile Foundation, has received Pi Beta Phi® Fraternity for Women’s prestigious Carolyn Helman Lichtenberg Crest Award in honor of her professional achievements. The award recognizes those who exhibit excellence and outstanding leadership in their careers or communities.

Wilson College Team Designs More Fitted Hood for Defense Department Challenge

An interdisciplinary team from the College of Textiles met a challenge from the Department of Defense head on: redesign protective chemical-biological suits worn by military troops. Their design for a more fitted hood led to recognition and a $15,000 prize.
