As a first-year medical student, I go to class in the morning, lab in the afternoon and then study until bed. Becoming a physician is definitely my calling so I am glad to finally be working on that degree. Work in the Emergency Department and then for Doctors Without Borders.

Looking back, what was it like being a dean’s page?

I loved being a page because it allowed me to interact with so many people within the college. A majority of my time I was a page, I was also serving as the Thompkins Textile Student Council President. Serving in the role as a page during my tenure was really helpful due to the close proximity I had with people in administration I needed to work with.

What did you take away from the Dean’s Page Program that helped you in your current position?

I learned an invaluable amount about how higher education operated, which has helped greatly with my current position as Class Vice President especially during the current pandemic!!

What advice do you have for those who are new dean’s pages or interested in becoming one?

Do it! This is a very special experience and will connect you to all sorts of people! I am so thankful for all the experiences I had through being a page!

What is the funniest time or most interesting experience you had as a dean’s page?

Once I cleaned out the supply closet at the far end of the Dean’s Suite and I found folders and papers from 1996!
