What was your path to this position?

I graduated from the Poole College of Management with a degree in business management. I have worked in technical theater for most of my career, with the last 14 years working as an assistant technical director and then as the operations and event manager for University Theatre here at NC State.

Why were you interested in this position / in working at the Wilson College?

I had heard that the Wilson College has a great culture and that has proven to be true. The varied nature of the job duties was really appealing, and it’s great to be able to work on projects that improve the college for all of the students, staff and faculty.

What are your duties on a day-to-day basis?

I manage a team that is responsible for daily operations around the college. This includes mail delivery, removal of furniture and equipment, and routing facilities work orders, among other things. My position is also responsible for oversight of any repair or renovation projects that are happening around the Wilson College.

What is your favorite part of your job and/or working at the Wilson College of Textiles?

So far it has been great to interact with all of the great people in the college. Everyone has been welcoming. I’m also very excited to begin construction on the Flex Factory project later this spring.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, camping, biking and rock climbing.
