Empowering the Next Generation of Textile Leaders<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Through the generous support of the North Carolina Textile Foundation, we are able to offer scholarships to both incoming first-year students and incoming transfer students. In addition to tuition assistance, many of these scholarships also come with enrichment funds that scholars can apply to study abroad and career exploration activities, as well as leadership development programming.<\/p>\n\n\n

History<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The support of the North Carolina Textile Foundation<\/a> (NCTF) makes Textiles scholarships possible. The NCTF was established in December 1942 to aid and promote all types of textile education and research at NC State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1971, the then-College of Textiles offered its first merit-based scholarship program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the next 50+ years, generous donations and innovative college leadership have led to the expansion of scholarships and programming. In celebration of the college\u2019s centennial anniversary, NCTF established Centennial Scholarships in 1999.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Textile Pioneer Scholarships and transfer scholarships were added in 2018. <\/p>\n\n\n
