Filling out this application will enter you into consideration for all Textiles scholarships you are eligible for.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n      <\/p>\n  <\/details>\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-ncst-accordion-item\" name=\"ay7n8i\"  >\n      <summary class=\"accordion-item__header\">\n        <span class=\"accordion-item__expansion-indicator\">\n          <span class=\"ncst-plus-minus-toggle\"><\/span>\n        <\/span>\n        <h2 class=\"accordion-item__label h6\">If I attended an early college high school, do I qualify for first-year scholarships or transfer scholarships?<\/h2>\n      <\/summary>\n      <p>\n        \n\n<p>It depends on how you apply for admission. NC State\u2019s Office of Undergraduate Admissions typically recommends that students who graduated from a North Carolina early college apply as first-year students, as long as they haven\u2019t taken any college courses since graduating from high school. At NC State, a first-year applicant is defined as someone who is entering college for the first time, regardless of how many credits they bring in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you apply as a first-year student by the Nov. 1 Early Action deadline, you\u2019ll be eligible to apply for our first-year scholarships. If you choose to apply as a transfer student instead, you\u2019ll only be eligible for transfer scholarships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Undergraduate Admissions offers additional <a href=\"https:\/\/admissions.ncsu.edu\/apply\/early-college\/\">recommendations for early college students<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n      <\/p>\n  <\/details>\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-ncst-accordion-item\" name=\"ay7n8i\"  >\n      <summary class=\"accordion-item__header\">\n        <span class=\"accordion-item__expansion-indicator\">\n          <span class=\"ncst-plus-minus-toggle\"><\/span>\n        <\/span>\n        <h2 class=\"accordion-item__label h6\">Do I need to be endorsed to apply for Textiles scholarships?<\/h2>\n      <\/summary>\n      <p>\n        \n\n<p>It depends. If you apply to NC State by the Early Action deadline (Nov. 1) and select a Wilson College of Textiles major as your first choice, you do not need to submit an endorsement. All Summer Textile Exploration Program (STEP) and TexTEC attendees who apply for admission by the Early Action deadline do not need to submit an endorsement either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you do not fall into one of those two categories but would still like to be considered for Textiles scholarships, <a href=\"https:\/\/textiles.ncsu.edu\/scholarships\/application-information\/#endorsement\">you must be endorsed<\/a> in one of the following ways by Nov. 10:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-default\">\n<li>Teacher or counselor endorsement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Self-endorsement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need to be endorsed, please submit only one endorsement. Endorsement simply grants you access to the scholarship application. How you\u2019re endorsed does not affect your chances of receiving a scholarship.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n      <\/p>\n  <\/details>\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-ncst-accordion-item\" name=\"ay7n8i\"  >\n      <summary class=\"accordion-item__header\">\n        <span class=\"accordion-item__expansion-indicator\">\n          <span class=\"ncst-plus-minus-toggle\"><\/span>\n        <\/span>\n        <h2 class=\"accordion-item__label h6\">I received an email letting me know I\u2019ve been endorsed for a Textiles scholarship. What does this mean?<\/h2>\n      <\/summary>\n      <p>\n        \n\n<p>Congratulations! Being endorsed means you\u2019ll have access to the Textiles scholarship application when it opens on Dec. 1, provided that you apply to NC State by the Early Action deadline (Nov. 1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An endorsement does not guarantee you will receive a Textiles scholarship, just that you\u2019re eligible to complete the scholarship application. Review the application information and application process timeline on our site to make sure you\u2019re applying correctly and not missing any deadlines.<\/p>\n\n\n      <\/p>\n  <\/details>\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-ncst-accordion-item\" name=\"ay7n8i\"  >\n      <summary class=\"accordion-item__header\">\n        <span class=\"accordion-item__expansion-indicator\">\n          <span class=\"ncst-plus-minus-toggle\"><\/span>\n        <\/span>\n        <h2 class=\"accordion-item__label h6\">I believe I might qualify for the financial need-based scholarships. What should I do?<\/h2>\n      <\/summary>\n      <p>\n        \n\n<p>To be considered for any of our financial need-based scholarships, you must submit your <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/h\/apply-for-aid\/fafsa\">Free Application For Federal and Student Aid (FAFSA)<\/a> by Jan. 31 in addition to completing the other steps in our application process.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A number of other departments and offices at NC State offer <a href=\"https:\/\/studentservices.ncsu.edu\/finances\/scholarships-and-financial-aid\/types-of-financial-aid\/scholarships\/\">their own scholarships<\/a> that you may want to consider, as well.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n      <\/p>\n  <\/details>\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-ncst-accordion-item\" name=\"ay7n8i\"  >\n      <summary class=\"accordion-item__header\">\n        <span class=\"accordion-item__expansion-indicator\">\n          <span class=\"ncst-plus-minus-toggle\"><\/span>\n        <\/span>\n        <h2 class=\"accordion-item__label h6\">Do I have to apply to a Textiles major to be eligible for these scholarships?<\/h2>\n      <\/summary>\n      <p>\n        \n\n<p>No, you do not have to apply to a Textiles major to be considered for these scholarships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>However,<\/strong> if you are selected as a finalist and receive a scholarship offer, you must change your major to a Textiles program in order to accept the award.<\/p>\n\n\n      <\/p>\n  <\/details>\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-ncst-accordion-item\" name=\"ay7n8i\"  >\n      <summary class=\"accordion-item__header\">\n        <span class=\"accordion-item__expansion-indicator\">\n          <span class=\"ncst-plus-minus-toggle\"><\/span>\n        <\/span>\n        <h2 class=\"accordion-item__label h6\">Can I be a Textiles Scholar and a <a href=\"https:\/\/park.ncsu.edu\/\">Park<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/goodnight.ncsu.edu\/\">Goodnight Scholar<\/a>?<\/h2>\n      <\/summary>\n      <p>\n        \n\n<p>Yes! You can be a part of multiple programs, and we highly encourage you to consider them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you were selected for multiple programs and accepted both, you would receive the scholarship from the other program (either Park or Goodnight) as well as the enrichment grant from the Textiles Scholarship Program. NC State closes for winter break for roughly two weeks, so support may not be available if you encounter login problems close to the application deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n      <\/p>\n  <\/details>\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-ncst-accordion-item\" name=\"xfyxxy\"  >\n      <summary class=\"accordion-item__header\">\n        <span class=\"accordion-item__expansion-indicator\">\n          <span class=\"ncst-plus-minus-toggle\"><\/span>\n        <\/span>\n        <h2 class=\"accordion-item__label h6\">I am in Pack ASSIST, but I don\u2019t see the Textiles first-year scholarship application. What should I do?<\/h2>\n      <\/summary>\n      <p>\n        \n\n<p>You should see the Textiles scholarship application <strong>after<\/strong> you\u2019ve fully completed and submitted NC State\u2019s general scholarship application. If you don\u2019t see the Textiles scholarship application appear on your dashboard within 24 hours of submitting the general scholarship application, please reach out to us at <a href=\"mailto:textiles-scholarships@ncsu.edu\">textiles-scholarships@ncsu.edu<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n      <\/p>\n  <\/details>\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-ncst-accordion-item\" name=\"xfyxxy\"  >\n      <summary class=\"accordion-item__header\">\n        <span class=\"accordion-item__expansion-indicator\">\n          <span class=\"ncst-plus-minus-toggle\"><\/span>\n        <\/span>\n        <h2 class=\"accordion-item__label h6\">I\u2019ve submitted my scholarship application, now what?<\/h2>\n      <\/summary>\n      <p>\n        \n\n<p>Thank you for applying! The application will close on Sunday, Jan. 4 at 11:59 p.m. After that, a committee of volunteers (including Wilson College faculty, staff, alumni, board members and industry partners) will review and rank all applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The top 60 applicants will be named finalists and invited to participate in our annual Textiles Scholarship Interview Weekend.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n      <\/p>\n  <\/details>\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-ncst-accordion-item\" name=\"xfyxxy\"  >\n      <summary class=\"accordion-item__header\">\n        <span class=\"accordion-item__expansion-indicator\">\n          <span class=\"ncst-plus-minus-toggle\"><\/span>\n        <\/span>\n        <h2 class=\"accordion-item__label h6\">Do you consider grades as part of my application?<\/h2>\n      <\/summary>\n      <p>\n        \n\n<p>Yes. Since our scholarships are merit-based, we do consider your weighted and unweighted high school grade point average as part of the application review.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because NC State is currently test-optional, standardized test scores are not considered. A successful Textiles scholarship applicant is also a <a href=\"https:\/\/admissions.ncsu.edu\/apply\/fast-facts\/\">competitive applicant<\/a> to NC State University.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n      <\/p>\n  <\/details>\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-ncst-accordion-item\" name=\"xfyxxy\"  >\n      <summary class=\"accordion-item__header\">\n        <span class=\"accordion-item__expansion-indicator\">\n          <span class=\"ncst-plus-minus-toggle\"><\/span>\n        <\/span>\n        <h2 class=\"accordion-item__label h6\">Am I applying to each scholarship individually?<\/h2>\n      <\/summary>\n      <p>\n        \n\n<p>No. You only need to complete one application to be considered for all incoming first-year Textiles scholarships. You are not applying to specific scholarships individually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because some scholarships have different eligibility criteria, if you are selected as a finalist, we will determine which scholarships you qualify for during our review process.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n      <\/p>\n  <\/details>\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-ncst-accordion-item\" name=\"xfyxxy\"  >\n      <summary class=\"accordion-item__header\">\n        <span class=\"accordion-item__expansion-indicator\">\n          <span class=\"ncst-plus-minus-toggle\"><\/span>\n        <\/span>\n        <h2 class=\"accordion-item__label h6\">I applied to the Wilson College of Textiles and was admitted, but I want to take a gap year. Can I apply for a scholarship next year when I plan to enroll?<\/h2>\n      <\/summary>\n      <p>\n        \n\n<p>No. Scholarship applications must be submitted during the same admission cycle in which you apply to the university. An applicant will fall into one of these three categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Finalist: invited to participate in Interview Weekend.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alternate: could be invited to participate in Interview Weekend if finalists decline their invitation.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No longer being considered for a Textiles scholarship.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n      <\/p>\n  <\/details>\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-ncst-accordion-item\" name=\"7q21qc\"  >\n      <summary class=\"accordion-item__header\">\n        <span class=\"accordion-item__expansion-indicator\">\n          <span class=\"ncst-plus-minus-toggle\"><\/span>\n        <\/span>\n        <h2 class=\"accordion-item__label h6\">Do I have to attend Interview Weekend in person?<\/h2>\n      <\/summary>\n      <p>\n        \n\n<p>Yes. The expectation is that all finalists participate in Interview Weekend in person.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In extenuating circumstances, or for those unable to arrange travel from out of state, we may be able to make an exception to allow for virtual interviews. We will assess exceptions on a case-by-case basis.<\/p>\n\n\n      <\/p>\n  <\/details>\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-ncst-accordion-item\" name=\"7q21qc\"  >\n      <summary class=\"accordion-item__header\">\n        <span class=\"accordion-item__expansion-indicator\">\n          <span class=\"ncst-plus-minus-toggle\"><\/span>\n        <\/span>\n        <h2 class=\"accordion-item__label h6\">I can\u2019t make the Interview Weekend dates. Can I reschedule?<\/h2>\n      <\/summary>\n      <p>\n        \n\n<p>Unfortunately, we are not able to offer alternate interview dates. Due to the scale and coordination required for Interview Weekend, we are unable to accommodate rescheduling. If you cannot participate in Interview Weekend, we kindly ask that you decline your offer to participate to allow an alternate a chance to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n      <\/p>\n  <\/details>\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-ncst-accordion-item\" name=\"7q21qc\"  >\n      <summary class=\"accordion-item__header\">\n        <span class=\"accordion-item__expansion-indicator\">\n          <span class=\"ncst-plus-minus-toggle\"><\/span>\n        <\/span>\n        <h2 class=\"accordion-item__label h6\">I participated in the Interview Weekend and received a scholarship, but I want to take a gap year. Can I defer and accept my scholarship next year?<\/h2>\n      <\/summary>\n      <p>\n        \n\n<p>No. Scholarship availability can vary from year to year, so awards cannot be deferred. If you are awarded a Textiles scholarship, you must enroll full-time in a Textiles major for the upcoming academic year in order to receive it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you choose to take a gap year, you will need to forfeit your award.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, if you plan to defer enrollment for one semester only, we may be able to accommodate your situation, since you would still be enrolling in the same academic cycle. These decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.<\/p>\n\n\n      <\/p>\n  <\/details>\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-ncst-accordion-item\" name=\"7q21qc\"  >\n      <summary class=\"accordion-item__header\">\n        <span class=\"accordion-item__expansion-indicator\">\n          <span class=\"ncst-plus-minus-toggle\"><\/span>\n        <\/span>\n        <h2 class=\"accordion-item__label h6\">Will I receive a scholarship if I attend the Textiles Scholarship Interview Weekend?<\/h2>\n      <\/summary>\n      <p>\n        \n\n<p>Yes! All finalists who participate in Interview Weekend will receive a scholarship. The value of the scholarship will vary depending on your final ranking in the selection process.<\/p>\n\n\n      <\/p>\n  <\/details>\n\n\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"interviewweekend\">Interview Weekend<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"is-text wp-block-ncst-accordion\" >\n    <div class=\"accordion isLinked\" id=\"ncst-accordion-064af5\">\n          \n<details class=\"wp-block-ncst-accordion-item\" name=\"064af5\"  >\n      <summary class=\"accordion-item__header\">\n        <span class=\"accordion-item__expansion-indicator\">\n          <span class=\"ncst-plus-minus-toggle\"><\/span>\n        <\/span>\n        <h2 class=\"accordion-item__label h6\">When and where does Textiles Scholarship Interview Weekend take place?<\/h2>\n      <\/summary>\n      <p>\n        \n\n<p>Interview Weekend takes place during the first Friday and Saturday of February each year on NC State\u2019s Centennial Campus.&nbsp;<br><br>The events on Friday will be held at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stateviewhotel.com\/\">The StateView Hotel<\/a> and the events on Saturday will be held in the <a href=\"https:\/\/facilities.ofa.ncsu.edu\/building\/tex\/\">Textiles Complex<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n      <\/p>\n  <\/details>\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-ncst-accordion-item\" name=\"064af5\"  >\n      <summary class=\"accordion-item__header\">\n        <span class=\"accordion-item__expansion-indicator\">\n          <span class=\"ncst-plus-minus-toggle\"><\/span>\n        <\/span>\n        <h2 class=\"accordion-item__label h6\">How many guests can I bring to Interview Weekend?<\/h2>\n      <\/summary>\n      <p>\n        \n\n<p>Each finalist is permitted to bring up to two guests.<\/p>\n\n\n      <\/p>\n  <\/details>\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-ncst-accordion-item\" name=\"064af5\"  >\n      <summary class=\"accordion-item__header\">\n        <span class=\"accordion-item__expansion-indicator\">\n          <span class=\"ncst-plus-minus-toggle\"><\/span>\n        <\/span>\n        <h2 class=\"accordion-item__label h6\">Am I responsible for my own travel arrangements?<\/h2>\n      <\/summary>\n      <p>\n        \n\n<p>Yes.
