Use the information below to make sure you\u2019re on track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note, the application for all incoming first-year Textiles scholarships is the same, but the number of scholarships you qualify for may depend on where you live, what you plan to major in and whether or not you have filled out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"is-text wp-block-ncst-buttons\">\n    \n<div class=\"wp-block-ncst-button\">\n      <a\n        class=\"ncst-block__button-link btn\"\n        href=\"https:\/\/textiles.ncsu.edu\/scholarships\/transfer-scholarships\/\"\n        data-ncst-lightbox=\"false\"\n                      >\n                  <span class=\"text\">Transfer scholarships<\/span><span class=\"arrow-indicator\"><svg class=\"wolficon wolficon-arrow-right-bold\" role=\"img\"  aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<use xlink:href=\"#wolficon-arrow-right-bold\">\n\t\t<\/svg><\/span>\n              <\/a>\n    <\/div>\n  \n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible for any incoming first-year Textiles scholarship, you must:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Apply for fall, first-year admission into any baccalaureate program at NC State by the Early Action deadline (Nov. 1).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit an endorsement (if not otherwise granted access to the application). <a href=\"#endorsement\">Find out if you need to be endorsed.<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill out NC State\u2019s general scholarship application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete the Textiles first-year scholarship application by Jan. 4. Filling out this application will enter you into consideration for all Textiles scholarships you are eligible for.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You will be asked to answer four essay questions in the Textiles first-year scholarship application. Applicants are evaluated based on the following factors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Academic achievement in high school,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven and potential leadership qualities,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extracurricular activities, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unique life experiences.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are interested in being considered for our Textile Pioneer and\/or W. Duke Kimbrell Scholarships (which are need-based as well as merit-based), you <strong>must<\/strong> fill out the FAFSA by Jan. 31, 2026 in addition to completing the items above.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are chosen for one of our scholarships, you must enroll in one of the Wilson College\u2019s majors to receive the scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"endorsement\">Endorsement&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All students who apply to NC State by the Early Action deadline (Nov. 1) and select a Wilson College of Textiles major as their first choice will automatically receive access to the Textiles first-year scholarship application. All Summer Textile Exploration Program (STEP) and TexTEC attendees who apply for admission by the Early Action deadline, regardless of their selected major, will also receive access. They do not need to submit an endorsement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you do not fall into one of those two categories but would still like to be considered for Textiles scholarships, you must be endorsed through self endorsement or teacher\/counselor endorsement by <strong>Nov. 10<\/strong>. (Forms available here when open.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Endorsement opens on <strong>Oct. 1<\/strong>. If you need to be endorsed, please submit only one endorsement. Endorsement simply grants you access to the scholarship application. NC State closes for winter break for roughly two weeks, so support may not be available if you encounter login problems close to the application deadline.<\/p>\n  <\/div>\n<\/li>\n\n\n<li class=\"ncst-timeline-entry wp-block-ncst-timeline-entry\">\n  <div class=\"ncst-timeline-entry__container\">\n    <span class=\"ncst-timeline-entry__date\">Jan. 4: Textiles Scholarship Application Deadline<\/span>\n    <div class=\"ncst-timeline-entry__line\"><\/div>\n    <p class=\"ncst-timeline-entry__description\">The application will close at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on this date. Late applications will not be accepted under any circumstances. After the scholarship application deadline on Jan. 4 at 11:59 p.m., all applications will be reviewed and ranked to determine the top 60 finalists.<\/p>\n  <\/div>\n<\/li>\n\n\n<li class=\"ncst-timeline-entry wp-block-ncst-timeline-entry\">\n  <div class=\"ncst-timeline-entry__container\">\n    <span class=\"ncst-timeline-entry__date\">Jan. 26-30: Applicant Status Notification<\/span>\n    <div class=\"ncst-timeline-entry__line\"><\/div>\n    <p class=\"ncst-timeline-entry__description\">During this week, you will be notified of your application status. We will let you know if you\u2019ve been named a finalist, an alternate finalist, or if you are not moving forward in the review process.<\/p>\n  <\/div>\n<\/li>\n\n\n<li class=\"ncst-timeline-entry wp-block-ncst-timeline-entry\">\n  <div class=\"ncst-timeline-entry__container\">\n    <span class=\"ncst-timeline-entry__date\">Feb. 6-7: Textiles Scholarship Interview Weekend<\/span>\n    <div class=\"ncst-timeline-entry__line\"><\/div>\n    <p class=\"ncst-timeline-entry__description\">If you are named a finalist, you and your guests will attend Interview Weekend on NC State&#8217;s Centennial Campus.<\/p>\n  <\/div>\n<\/li>\n\n\n<li class=\"ncst-timeline-entry wp-block-ncst-timeline-entry\">\n  <div class=\"ncst-timeline-entry__container\">\n    <span class=\"ncst-timeline-entry__date\">March 2-6: Scholarship Award Notification<\/span>\n    <div class=\"ncst-timeline-entry__line\"><\/div>\n    <p class=\"ncst-timeline-entry__description\">If you participated in the Textiles Scholarship Interview Weekend, you will be notified of your award status at this time.<\/p>\n  <\/div>\n<\/li>\n\n\n<li class=\"ncst-timeline-entry wp-block-ncst-timeline-entry\">\n  <div class=\"ncst-timeline-entry__container\">\n    <span class=\"ncst-timeline-entry__date\">Early to Mid-April: Scholarship Acceptance Deadline<\/span>\n    <div class=\"ncst-timeline-entry__line\"><\/div>\n    <p class=\"ncst-timeline-entry__description\">You will have until early to mid-April to accept or decline your award. Your offer email will provide a specific date.
