Every school has its own process, so you should begin researching this online early. You\u2019ll likely need to submit a copy of your&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/studentservices.ncsu.edu\/academics\/grading\/transcripts\/\">NC State transcript<\/a>&nbsp;as part of the application process. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do I know which courses will transfer to NC State from another institution?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use the <a href=\"https:\/\/webappprd.acs.ncsu.edu\/php\/transfer\/\">Transfer Course Equivalency Database<\/a> to see which courses will transfer to NC State from another institution, including NC Community Colleges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note: according to <a href=\"https:\/\/policies.ncsu.edu\/policy\/pol-02-10-02-transfer-credit-policy\/\">NC State&#8217;s Transfer Credit Policy<\/a>, only coursework completed with a C- or better grade will be accepted for credit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you don\u2019t see the course you are looking for, it simply means that the course has not been reviewed previously. Please submit <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSc2vnJ8YwMyOTQWbmBsFitY7YWnrly7nR5WYQhXrN0HJ6YGWg\/viewform?usp=sf_link\">this Google Form<\/a> to request your planned course to be reviewed for NC State equivalency. You will be notified by a member of the Textiles Academic Services team once your course has been evaluated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do I transfer my courses from another institution to NC State?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>After final grades have posted, contact the Registrar\u2019s Office at the institution you attended and request an official transcript be sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at NC State. The institution can send the transcript electronically if they use an encrypted system like Parchment or eScrip-Safe. Official transcripts will not be accepted via regular email.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Directions for sending transcripts can be found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/admissions.ncsu.edu\/connect\/frequently-asked-questions\/#sending-transcripts\">Office of Undergraduate Admissions website<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It typically takes 2-3 weeks for NC State to process your transcript once it has been received. If the courses have not posted to your degree audit within 4-6 weeks, follow up with the NC State Office of Undergraduate Admissions.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you took a course online through an international institution&nbsp;please note the transcripts are not processed automatically. Once you have requested an official transcript be sent to NC State and received confirmation that we have received your transcript, please email&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:mcgross@ncsu.edu\">Meggie Metcalf<\/a>&nbsp;to request your international transfer credits processed.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cooperating Raleigh Colleges<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Undergraduate students who are considering taking one (or more) of their degree requirements at another institution might consider enrolling in those courses through the <a href=\"https:\/\/studentservices.ncsu.edu\/academics\/exchange-programs\/#raleigh\">Cooperating Raleigh Colleges (CRC) program<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The CRC program is designed to allow students to take courses not available at their home institution, to facilitate graduation and to explore other campuses to enrich their college experience. Therefore, there may be limitations on which course(s) are approved to take through the CRC program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Textiles students may be approved to take a degree requirement through CRC in the following situations: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Student has attempted the course here and failed it (or not earned the grade needed to satisfy their degree requirement)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Schedule conflict when registering for the course at NC State (if the course needs to be taken in a particular semester to avoid graduation delays)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CRC requests for other specific reasons will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may require the student to provide written justification for their request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students approved to take courses through this program will be able to request enrollment at the CRC institution at no additional cost (as long as they are enrolled in at least 9 credit hours at NC State for the given fall or spring semester). Space is not guaranteed in the requested course(s) and approval must be obtained from your academic advisor as well as the Senior Director or Associate Director of Academic Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If students are not approved to enroll via the CRC program, they can still choose to take the equivalent courses through Wake Tech Community College (or other CRC institutions) but they would need to apply as a visiting student, enroll on their own and pay for the course out of pocket.
