Some students may be interested in completing a minor or certificate in addition to the requirements for their major. Minors and certificates offer students the chance to take classes or complete experiences related to a secondary interest area, without having to complete a double major. These opportunities can provide additional knowledge or skills you might hope to develop or apply to future employment. However, because the requirements for the Wilson College of Textiles majors are very specific and often sequenced, students should really consider the reason for trying to complete a minor or certificate. You can speak with your academic advisor about how completing one of these options may help you meet your academic or career goals, and how the requirements for the minor or certificate may fit within your major. The links above will also lead you to the admission requirements for each minor or certificate.
