To learn more about how financial aid can be used for studying abroad, visit the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/studyabroad.ncsu.edu\/for-students\/funding-study-abroad\/financial-aid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Study Abroad Office\u2019s Financial Aid webpage<\/a>. Specific questions about how financial aid can be used should be directed to David Fichuo (<a href=\"mailto:dlfichuo@ncsu.edu\">dlfichuo@ncsu.edu<\/a>) in the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ncst-accordion-item ncst-accordion-item panel\"><a class=\"accordion-item__header collapsed\" href=\"#ncst-accordion-item-0-1\" id=\"ncst-accordion-item-heading-1\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-target=\"#ncst-accordion-item-0-1\" aria-controls=\"ncst-accordion-item-0-1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"accordion-item__expansion-indicator\"><span class=\"ncst-plus-minus-toggle\"><\/span><\/span><h2 class=\"accordion-item__label h5\">Scholarship Resources<\/h2><\/a><div class=\"collapse panel-collapse accordion-item__content-container \" id=\"ncst-accordion-item-0-1\" aria-labelledby=\"ncst-accordion-item-heading-1\" data-parent=\"#ncst-accordion-0\"><div class=\"accordion-item__content\">\n<p>There are many opportunities for students to apply to both NC&#160;State and non-NC&#160;State Scholarships.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/studyabroad.ncsu.edu\/for-students\/funding-study-abroad\/scholarships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NC&#160;State scholarships<\/a>&nbsp;for study abroad are managed by the Study Abroad Office. Students must complete a separate scholarship application apart from their program application to be considered for the scholarships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note: Applicants only need to complete one application to be considered for all NC&#160;State travel awards and study abroad scholarships, including scholarships offered by Wilson College.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scholarship application cycles are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Spring Cycle<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Application closes September 15<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Summer Cycle<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Application closes December 1<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fall Cycle<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Application closes February 1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to NC&#160;State scholarships, students can also apply for scholarships provided by other organizations such as companies, community organizations, and the like. The Study Abroad Office has compiled a list of common non-NC&#160;State scholarships which you can view&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/studyabroad.ncsu.edu\/for-students\/funding-study-abroad\/outside-scholarships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fellowships.dasa.ncsu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Fellowship Advising Office<\/a>&nbsp;(FAO) at NC&#160;State helps undergraduate students, graduate students, and alums learn about and apply for awards that can fund opportunities overseas. The office helps students identify potential awards, review applications, practice interviews and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other resources:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.engr.ncsu.edu\/engineer-your-experience\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Engineer Your Experience Program<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 Funding is available to support textile engineering students\u2019 participation in a wide range of experiences to enhance their education, including Study Abroad.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gilmanscholarship.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Gilman Scholarship<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 Administered by the U.S. Department of State, the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship is a prestigious scholarship program for undergraduate students who receive a Federal Pell Grant.
