Students will be notified of their decision no later than May 15 via email. Students wishing to change concentrations are highly encouraged to first consult the program chair faculty for the two FTD concentrations to discuss the programs in detail and ensure they are clear of the program goals and objectives.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FTD-FD Program Co-Chairs: <a href=\"mailto:chwang2@ncsu.edu\">Dr. Gloria Hwang<\/a> and <a href=\"mailto:msuh2@ncsu.edu\">Dr. Minyoung Suh<br><\/a>FTD-TD Program Chair: <a href=\"mailto:tamaypl@ncsu.edu\">Dr. Traci Lamar<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Submitting a concentration change request does not guarantee that the concentration change will be approved. Admission to a different concentration is still based on a competitive review of the application and is reviewed by FTD faculty.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If accepted into the desired concentration, students who have followed the 8 semester display for the first year of their program will be able to move within the same cohort and continue without consequence to their progress toward degree.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a change of concentration request is approved, the decision will be final and students will not be given the opportunity to return to their previous concentration. Concentration change requests submitted at a later point in the degree program (after April 15 of the first year) may be considered by FTD faculty; however, students who may be approved to switch concentrations later than the beginning of their second year will delay their graduation by one year or more. Students are urged to carefully review their progress toward degree and the potential impact of a concentration change with their advisor and\/or FTD program faculty before applying to change concentrations.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who wish to request a concentration change must submit the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/a\/ncsu.edu\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLScUu4N-REAZOSYkjiDEiFjkvn7dtrpD3EEGDvRJM7CuUcy7SA\/viewform\">FTD Concentration Change Request Form<\/a>.
