Graduate Student’s Research Reaches National Press

It is always an honor when one’s work is acknowledged by the press. Recently, Chirag Gajjar, a PhD student in the FPS program (currently advised by Dr. Martin King), has enjoyed his MS research being highlighted by the press. For his masters studies, Gajjar was advised by Dr. Marian McCord (who holds a joint appointment in Textile Engineering, Chemistry & Science and Biomedical Engineering, and is the NC State Director of Global Health Initiatives in the Office of International Affairs) and worked with Dr. Martin Hubbe (CNR), Tabitha Rush (MS BME) and Michael Jolly (BS BME, MS TE) on “Smart Bandages”.
