If you\u2019re looking to avoid the summer slide or help your student decide what they might want to study in college, you\u2019ve come to the right place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Wilson College of Textiles offers three summer camps. Each of these pre-college programs is filled with on-campus experiences and hands-on learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Summer Textile Exploration Program (STEP)<\/h3>\n \n\n \t \t

STEP shows rising high school seniors what it’s like to be a Wilson College student. Live on campus, complete a project tied to one of our degree programs, and learn about our scholarship programs during this summer camp. <\/p>\n\t \t \n

TexTEC Camp<\/h3>\n \n\n \t \t

This two-day workshop is designed for high school students interested in technology, engineering or chemistry (TEC). They’ll engage in hands-on labs and learn about degree programs and scholarships at the Wilson College of Textiles.<\/p>\n\t \t \n

TEXplore<\/h3>\n \n\n \t \t

TEXplore is a summer enrichment and Saturday academy program for underrepresented middle school students from Gaston County. Students will take part in lab experiments, learn about textile-related STEM programs, and even spend a week on NC State’s campus.<\/p>\n\t \t \n
