Dr. Zahra Saki \u00a0is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Textile and Apparel, Technology and Management, at Wilson College of Textiles. Among Wilson College of Textiles core values, Zahra is keen to focus specifically on Equity, Collaboration, Innovation, and Sustainability through her teaching and research.<\/p>\n
Prior to joining NC State on July 1, 2024, Zahra was Product owner\/manager at Trane Technologies where she was in charge of the success of mobile application of smart thermostats. In this role she expanded her leadership skills along with focusing on design thinking development. \u00a0She has more than 12 years of global industry experience, with approximately 8 years in the supply chain management area.<\/p>\n
Her research focuses on the economic advantages of the US textile industry and has generated multiple publications and presentations in international outlets to date. In addition to her research, Dr. Saki is dedicated to teaching and mentoring students. Her teaching philosophy centers on active learning and student engagement.<\/p>\n
