Ten sustainability projects will be implemented on campus over the next year thanks to $120,824 in grants recently awarded by the student-led advisory board of NC State\u2019s\u00a0Sustainability Fund<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Generated by a $2.50 per semester student fee that students voted to create in 2012, grant funding is available to NC State students, faculty and staff who submit proposals for sustainability projects that improve campus or promote awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBecause of these innovative projects and the Fund, campus is more sustainable and students are more aware of sustainability and the lasting impacts they can initiate during their four years,\u201d said student Liz Wallner, the chair of this year\u2019s Sustainability Fund board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Selected from a pool of 24 applications totaling a request of $516,000 in funding, the 10 winning projects will be completed by July 1, 2019, and will specifically fund:<\/p>\n\n\n\n New this fall, the Fund will introduce a fall semester opportunity to apply for grants.
