The potential and accomplishments of Wilson College of Textiles students are being recognized by the <\/span>American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) Foundation<\/span><\/a>. All nine of the Charles H. Stone Scholarships and Piedmont Scholarships offered for the 2021 – 2022 academic year will go to NC State students. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n Bryan Ormond, faculty advisor for NC State\u2019s AATCC student chapter, said the association\u2019s scholarships often match exactly with students\u2019 experiences at Wilson College.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe have really competitive students in these because of what the organization is,\u201d Ormond said.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Charles H. Stone Scholarship provides four polymer or textile chemistry students with $6,000 to support their education. Rising juniors and seniors studying at the Wilson College or Clemson University\u2019s College of Engineering and Science are eligible. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n The $3,000 Piedmont Scholarship is awarded to up to five students studying in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n The foundation\u2019s scholarships provide more than just financial support. Ormond said these opportunities also motivate students to get involved with an organization that has valuable resources and mentorships to offer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThey have access to career services. They post resumes.
