I received my bachelor of science in Retailing and Consumer Science from the University of Arizona. During this time, I worked for their office of admissions and found a passion for higher education and assisting students during their higher education journey . I then went to continue my education at Arizona State University (ASU) and received my Master’s in Education with a focus in Higher and Post-Secondary Education. After I received my master’s I worked for ASU’s College of Engineering as an academic advisor and retention coordinator. Originally from North Carolina, I decided to move back home, and that is what led me to NC State and the Wilson College of Textiles.

The variety of majors sparked my interest in the Wilson College. I am excited to continue to work with creative and driven students in a different capacity. With my background in retailing and consumer science, I have noticed I took similar courses to the fashion and textile design and fashion and textile management programs and I am excited to hear about the student’s experience in the program.

My duties will be advising students and teaching two sections of T101 initially. I will also begin to coordinate different programming for students and help with prospective students as needed.

So far, it is the people and learning about the programs. Everyone at NC State is so welcoming and ready to help. All the majors have very unique courses and plans. I am excited to get to know more and meet the students soon!

I love trying new restaurants, going to live music events and hanging out with my cute pup Finnegan.
