It was a busy December at the Wilson College of Textiles at NC State. We’d like to share with you the winners from early December shows and exhibits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This juried show was comprised of student level (high school, novice and advanced undergraduate, and graduate) designers. Categories included Avant-garde, Southern Style and Re-fashioned. The event included both a live fashion show and a mounted exhibition in order to accommodate more creative uses for denim.<\/p>\n\n\n\nUp & Coming Designers: High School Students and Wilson College of Textiles Freshmen<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Developing Designers: Wilson College of Textiles Sophomores and Juniors<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Emerging Designers: Senior and Graduate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015<\/strong>
Each Fall and Spring semester, top fashion and textile design students at NC State University Wilson College of Textiles showcase their designs that have been developed in senior studio. These senior designers created, developed, and produced an industry quality collection, emphasizing ideation, communication, theme development, fit and fabrication. Threads is a showcase of talent, creativity, and skill; it is a culmination of techniques learned over the years through various courses.

Opened Saturday, Dec 5, 2015 at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences<\/strong>
The competition featured apparel, home furnishings, and textiles designed by students at the Wilson College of Textiles. These pieces, created by the College\u2019s Department of Textile Apparel, Technology and Management (TATM) students and juried into the event, highlight cotton\u2019s properties and performance aspects and incorporate weaving, knitting, printing and dyeing techniques.
