The Wilson College of Textiles <\/a>(COT) decided to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Carter-Finley Stadium (happening during the 2016-17 academic year) and the contributions of the Carter family<\/a> with the creation of an anniversary bookmark incorporating Carter-Finley into the design.  A competition open to all students, faculty, staff and alumni was announced in October. Many creative designs were submitted, and a winner has been selected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2017 COT bookmark is designed by Jamie Harvey, a senior studying Fashion and Textile Design with a focus on Textile Design. As her May 2017 graduation approaches, she says one of the things she will miss most about NC State is the football.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The energy of the stadium is where I drew my inspiration. There is no way to explain the feeling that you get as a student cheering on the players. Game days are some of my most favorite memories and I wanted to capture the feeling of being immersed in the stadium full of fans within my bookmark design,” she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to bragging rights and a place in COT history, Harvey received a $50 gift card as a prize.<\/p>\n","protected":false,"raw":"\n\n\n\n\n
