As you\u2019ll read in this <a href=\"https:\/\/web.ncsu.edu\/email-generator\/blog\/ncstate_email\/october-2016-cot-alumni-email-2\/\">newsletter<\/a>, the last few months have brought awards for faculty, milestones for researchers and the culmination of projects for students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also brought the announcement of the <a href=\"https:\/\/campaign.ncsu.edu\/\">Think and Do the Extraordinary Campaign<\/a> \u2014 the most ambitious fundraising effort in our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncsu.edu\/\">university&#8217;s<\/a> history. The goal: to raise $1.6 billion by 2021 for scholarships, research, programs and facilities across the university. I invite you to learn about the <a href=\"https:\/\/give.ncsu.edu\/textiles\">priorities<\/a> we\u2019ve set for the Wilson College of Textiles. Your support helps us educate tomorrow\u2019s leaders and makes the groundbreaking, <a href=\"https:\/\/campaign.ncsu.edu\/where-to-give\/college-of-textiles\/\">life-saving<\/a> work of the Wilson College of Textiles possible. Together we will Think and Do the Extraordinary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you look to the year ahead, I encourage you to check out the newly published Wilson College of Textiles <a href=\"https:\/\/textiles.ncsu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/cot-strategic-plan-web-2020.pdf\">Strategic Plan<\/a> for a comprehensive look at where the COT is heading. This plan is an updated and more focused revision of the College\u2019s 2013 plan and has had input from all our key stakeholders, including alumni. We are already aggressively implementing many of our strategies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, today we welcomed 108 new graduates to the Wilson College of Textiles alumni family. We congratulate them and know that like the more than 9,000 alumni already living and making a positive impact around the world, they will innovate and lead with high integrity wherever their careers take them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I wish you and your families a happy holiday season and peace and joy in 2017.
