In all, 209 bachelor&#8217;s &nbsp;degrees were awarded along with 30 master&#8217;s degrees and six doctorates. When combined with the students who graduated in December 2016, &nbsp;the total graduation figures from the 2016-17 academic year year for the Wilson College of Textiles are 271 bachelor&#8217;s degrees, 56 master&#8217;s degrees and 26 doctorates, for a total of 353 graduates for the 2016-17 academic year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Senior Speaker was&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/textiles.ncsu.edu\/news\/2017\/05\/textile-designer-claire-hiders-inspired-college-journey\/\">Claire Hider<\/a> of Kernersville, N.C., a Fashion and Textile Design (Textile Design concentration) graduate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following awards were presented during the ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>*Lawrence Iason Honor Award<\/strong><br>Grace Bunemann<br>High Point, N.C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>*John E.
