Wilson College of Textiles<\/span><\/a> senior Gurjot Baweja just returned from Boston, where he spent a week rubbing elbows with other young innovators at the <\/span>Forbes Under 30 Summit<\/span><\/a> in early October. The summit hosted 200 speakers including world-renowned chefs, political and business leaders, celebrities and more, and ranged all over Boston, with venues at Faneuil Hall, MIT Media Lab and the University of Massachusetts Club. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe event was wonderful and very well organized,\u201d said Baweja. \u201c(It) was a get-together of young professionals who have done exceptionally well in their career, either by starting their own company or earning high rankings in the top companies.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n He was one of 1,000 college students from diverse backgrounds chosen to attend the conference at no cost as part of the <\/span>Forbes Under 30 Scholars Program<\/span><\/a>, sponsored by global banking and financial services firm <\/span>JPMorgan Chase<\/span><\/a>. The program is open to high-achieving juniors, seniors and graduate students in the business and technology sectors. He discovered the event through <\/span>ePACK<\/span><\/a>, then answered application questions asking why he wanted to attend, how he thought the event could aid his professional and personal development, and what contributions he could make by attending.
