Transfer Scholarships

We can make an NC State education more affordable for you.

Applications for the next round of transfer scholarships will open Feb. 1, 2026.

Five to six transfer scholarships (ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 per year) are awarded each fall. 

Transfer scholarships

Eligibility

To be eligible for a transfer scholarship, you must: 

  • Be transferring to NC State from another institution, and 
  • Select a Wilson College of Textiles major in your application to NC State. 

Application Process

The transfer scholarship application is open from Feb. 1 to March 31. 

Academic performance at the previous institution, engagement outside of the classroom and interest in textiles and Think and Do philosophy are considered in the application review. 

Transfer Scholarship Length

Textiles scholarships for undergraduate students are awarded for up to eight full-time semesters, or until a student earns their undergraduate degree (whichever comes first). 

Transfer students will receive Wilson College scholarships for the number of semesters that remain at the time of enrollment. 

For example, a student transferring to the Wilson College of Textiles after four full-time semesters at another institution may receive a scholarship for up to four additional semesters.
