Christian Rust

Christian Rust – from New Bern, NC graduated from New Bern High School. Christian has been awarded the North Carolina Textile Foundation Centennial Scholarship to study in a textile degree program at NC State. Christian has also been awarded a Park Scholarship. Christian took Advanced Placement World History, US History, Biology, Calculus AB/ BC, Chemistry, Language, Statistics, Earth and Environmental Science, Physics I, and Government. He also completed Organic Chemistry I and II at a community college. He received First Place Individual in a Geometry contest at the Regional Mathematics Competition at East Carolina University, participated in reserach on the collegiate level, and was selected to attend Governor’s School West at Salem College in Natural Science. He was President of the Environmental Club, President and founder of the Debate Team, Vice President of the Teenage Democrats, and captain of the soccer team. Christian was also involved in the Interact Club and served at his church, St. Andrew Lutheran Church, from a very young age. Christian intends to double major in Textile Engineering and Chemical Engineering.
