Moriah Kimel

Moriah Kimel – from Charlotte, NC graduated from Myers Park High School. Moriah has been awarded the North Carolina Textile Foundation C.C. Lee Centennial Scholarship to study in a textile degree program at NC State. Moriah completed the International Baccalaureate Program at Myers Park, while taking classes in Spanish, Chemistry, Physics and Calculus, among other courses. Due to her high scholastic achievement, she was recognized as a Junior Marshall. Moriah was also the President of Baby Bundles, a club dedicated to collecting donations for local young, single mothers. Moriah travelled to Sierra Leone and helped initiate a project to install solar panels in schools. Outside of school, Moriah enjoys hiking and serving as a tutor. In addition, she worked as a camp counselor for middle school aged students. Moriah intends to study Textile Engineering.
