Kori Hyer
Kori Hyer – from Fayetteville, NC, graduated from Terry Sanford High School. She has been awarded a North Carolina Textile Foundation Jerry & Olivia Rowland Centennial Scholarship. Kori completed college courses through Fayetteville Technical Community College in both Drawing, and Graphic Design. She also took Advanced Placement courses, including Biology, Environmental Science, English Literature and Composition, and Studio Art, through her high school. Kori specifically enjoyed her Drawing and Studio Art classes due to her passion for the subjects. She participated in a variety of activities including her role as DECA Club President, Tri Chi Co-President, Spanish Honor Society, National Honor Society, and Academy Scholars. She was also elected Public Relations Coordinator for her school’s National Art Honor Society. Kori participated in several art programs, including ones at Sawtooth School for Visual Art and the Art Institute of Charlotte. She also attended a summer design studio at North Carolina State University. It is through these programs that Kori decided to study Fashion and Textile Design.
