Emily Walch

Emily Walch – from Newman, IL graduated from Villa Grove High School. Emily served a secretary of her senior class, as well as a Junior Honor Marshal. She received the math and science awards both her junior and seniors years, as well as the social studies award her senior year. Emily was a four-year member of her high school concert band on bassoon, jazz and pep bands on baritone saxophone, and concert choir. She also served as two-year member of her honor’s choir and drum line. She played with in her regional youth orchestra for three years and spent her senior year playing with the Eastern Illinois University Orchestra. She has received numerous awards and superior ratings, and was accepted into various honor ensembles including the All-State Honor Band and All-State Orchestra. Emily was also active in Science club and Green Committee club. Emily was a Varsity runner for cross country and track all 4 years of High School, finishing in the top 10 at regional her junior year, and being captain of Cross-Country and track her senior year. Her community service includes, teaching religion class to 3-5 year olds every Sunday, and trained to be an election judge / technician for Douglas County in Illinois. Emily has worked for Wilson’s Leather for the past two years and works year round.
