Rachel Elizabeth Chapla

Rachel Elizabeth Chapla – from Cary, NC graduated from Green Hope High School. During her high school career, Rachel was an active member of the Young Democrats Association and the newly-formed Harry Potter Club. She participated in varsity lacrosse all four years and ran varsity cross country for three years. Rachel has earned a National Merit Scholarship Commendation, Tri-Eight and Tri-Nine 4A Academic All Conference honors, and designation as an Academic All American and the 2011 Tri-Nine Conference Player of the Year. Outside of the classroom, Rachel volunteers as a Greeter and in the Canteen at the Cary Triangle American Red Cross Blood Center. Rachel kept herself busy during the summer working for Leap’N’Learn as an elementary school tutor and for NC State’s Engineering Summer Camp as a camp assistant for elementary and middle school students. Rachel intends to major in Textile Engineering.
