Corinne Carter – from Raleigh, NC graduated from Needham B. Broughton High School. Corinne has been awarded the North Carolina Textile Foundation Cornelson Centennial Scholarship to study in a textile degree program at NC State. Corinne took Advanced Placement courses in the subjects of World History, Environmental Science, US History, English Language and Composition, Spanish Language, Human Geography, Physics, and Calculus. Also, she took International Baccalaureate courses in Business Management and Spanish. Corinne received the College Board AP Honor Scholar Award and was on the honor roll all 4 years of high school. She was a member of the National Honor Society and President of the Spanish Honor Society, Layout Editor for the yearbook, coordinated the International Festival, was a representative at the Inter Club Council, and is in the Christ Baptist Church Youth Choir. Corinne volunteered for mission work is Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Nairobi, Kenya, Santiago, Cuba, and in the Moore Square Project. Corinne also attended the Summer Textile Exploration Program (STEP) through the Wilson College of Textiles during the summer between her junior and senior years in high school. Corinne intends to study Fashion & Textile Management.
