Courtney Oswald – from Lovettsville, VA graduated from Woodgrove High School. Courtney has been awarded the North Carolina Textile Foundation ITT/Roger Milliken Centennial Scholarship. Courtney excelled in numerous AP classes in a wide variety of topics spanning AP Calculus to AP Art, and was ranked second in her senior class. She was an active participant and leader in the French Honors Society as a French Tutor, Math Honor Society, National Honor Society, Student Council, Academic Team, and Volleyball Team. Besides being a skilled equestrian, Courtney was an active member of her church’s youth group and participated in several of their service activities, such as Stop Hunger Now and Vacation Bible School. Courtney also attended the Summer Textile Exploration Program (STEP) through the Wilson College of Textiles during the summer between her junior and senior years in high school. Courtney plans to study Textile Engineering.
