Samantha Casey

Samantha Casey – from Selma, NC graduated from Princeton High School (PHS). Samantha has been awarded the North Carolina Textile Foundation Murata of America Centennial Scholarship to study in a textile degree program at NC State. Samantha took several Advanced Placement courses including Calculus, Language and Composition, and US History. She was a Park Scholarship Nominee, Morehead-Cain Scholarship Nominee, and received the National Merit Scholarship Letter of Commendation. Samantha was Valedictorian of her graduating class, achieving Principal’s List all four years and a Graduation Marshal. She is the band leader, fiddle player, and lead vocalist for Samantha Casey & The Bluegrass Jam. Samantha also participated in the PHS Art Club, the NCSU Shelton Challenge, PHS Beta club, and the bi-annual blood drives. Samantha also earned the distinction of being a Shelton National Scholars, and she intends to study Textile Engineering.
