Career Fair Brings Record Number of Companies to College of Textiles
The 2015 Textile Job Forum and Career Fair held Sept. 10 was the College’s largest fair in 30 years with 64 companies attending. More than one third of those were new to the Career Fair or returned after a decade or more. All of the companies that attended have some connection to the textile/apparel complex; raw material to retail were represented, with an increase in manufacturing and production companies. While many companies were based in North Carolina, the College also welcomed companies from California, Maine, Colorado, Wisconsin, Georgia, Delaware, Massachusetts, South Carolina and Ohio.
