  • Department: North Carolina Textile Foundation
  • Hometown: Clayton, North Carolina

What was your path to this position?

I came to NC State from East Carolina University where I received my bachelor’s degree and MBA. After graduation, I began working for the Pirate Club at ECU as the development coordinator and then the assistant director of development.

Why were you interested in this position / in working at the Wilson College?

My wife and I wanted to move to Raleigh, and I wanted to challenge myself and learn how to fundraise on the academics side of the university.

What are your duties on a day-to-day basis?

My days are spent doing outreach to friends and alumni of the college. I call to connect, engage and ultimately raise the funds needed to support our students, faculty, staff and college.

What is your favorite part of your job and/or working at the Wilson College of Textiles?

My favorite part of working here is getting to know our faculty and staff and seeing all of the cool things that students are doing. The people here are super friendly and great!

What do you like to do outside of work?

Staying active with my wife and our two dogs, traveling to neat places, watching sports and playing fantasy football.
