Pasquinelli Named Fellow of American Chemical Society

Dr. Melissa Pasquinelli, associate department head and director of graduate programs in the Department of Textile Engineering, Chemistry and Science at the College of Textiles at NC State, has been named Fellow of the American Chemical Society in recognition for her outstanding achievements in and contributions to the field and excellent volunteer service to the community.

Two Ph.D. Students Receive VF Assistantships

When NC State and VF Corporation announced a collaborative, strategic partnership in January 2018, one of the goals was to support student development at NC State. To that end, two College of Textiles Ph.D. students have been named recipients of the VF Graduate Assistantship in Apparel and Footwear. This award supports outstanding graduate students conducting research on emerging and advanced topics in apparel and footwear of interest to VF, home to such brands as Reef, Wrangler and The North Face.

Recently, the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) announced that its philantrhopic arm, the AATCC Foundation, Inc., had awarded graduate fellowships and scholarships in support of textile student research and education.
