Sir Walter Raleigh, Who Are You Wearing?

As Techtextil North America's first academic partner, Wilson College was given the opportunity to dress Sir Walter Raleigh for the show held Feb. 26-28. The goal was to do so creatively and with some technical textile elements worked in. Fashion and Textile Design student Carly Kvietok stepped up. Her inspiration comes from a form of street art that’s referred to as “yarn bombing.” With bold patterns and electroluminescent wire along the seams, Kvietok's work is sure to spark interest in wearable technology and innovation in textiles.
