Meet One of the Newest Members of Our Wilson College Family: Robin Tingle

Robin Tingle

What was your path to this position?

I have a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and a K-6 teaching certification. I have been a Kindergarten teacher for the last 12 years and was National Board Certified for the last five years. I also have worked at my church as the treasurer, where I handled all the finances for the last seven years.

Why were you interested in this position / in working at Wilson College?

I was interested in a change of pace and getting back to doing more accounting-type work.

What are your duties on a day-to-day basis?

My duties include managing post-award accounts for sponsored projects, approving orders and travel requests as well as processing hire requests for sponsored projects.

What is your favorite part of your job and/or working at the Wilson College of Textiles?

My favorite part is my team and how they have made me feel so welcome. I’m enjoying learning about all the innovation taking place here at the Wilson College of Textiles as well. It’s a whole new world for me!

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and my puppy, Leo!
