What was your path to this position?
I have a Bachelor of Arts in english from the University of Kentucky and most recently worked as a wedding planner for Sally Oakley Weddings.
Why were you interested in this position / in working at the Wilson College?
It’s fascinating to learn about the many things happening at the Wilson College of Textiles. I wanted to transition to a more traditional – but not boring – role. I’ve found working at the Zeis Textile Extension at the Wilson College of Textiles is the perfect fit for me.
What are your duties on a day-to-day basis?
Every day is different working in ZTE. Some of my responsibilities include managing logistics for our short courses or events, supporting the lab managers with administrative tasks, managing our student interns and handling anything else that comes up throughout the week.
What is your favorite part of your job and/or working at the Wilson College of Textiles?
I love learning about the various projects happening in the labs and also the amazing people I work with!
What do you like to do outside of work?
I love to hang out with my family and dogs. I also love crafting and getting outside.
