Kelly Lyn Stillman

Kelly Lyn Stillman – from Sherrills Ford, NC graduated from Bandys High School. Kelly has been awarded one of only ten North Carolina Textile Foundation Centennial Scholarships to study in a textile degree program at NC State. The Centennial scholarship is the largest college-based scholarship offered at NC State University and is valued at nearly $48,000. As a part of this scholarship, Kelly will have access to $7,500 in enrichment funds for educational and cultural activities beyond the classroom, such as study abroad, career exploration trips and attending leadership conferences. Kelly has maintained being in the top ten percent of her class every year. She was accepted into the High School Scholars Academy at Lenoir-Rhyne. Kelly headed an apparel-development business within her school her sophomore year. Kelly was on the track and field team for three years, excelling in pole-vaulting. Kelly has a passion for sewing, design, and photography. Kelly attended the Summer Textile Exploration Program during the summer of 2007 at the Wilson College of Textiles. She intends to major in Fashion and Textile Management.
