19th Annual AATS Fashion Exposé

Presented by The African American Textile Society, the AATS Fashion Exposé is the longest running, student design competition on NC State’s campus. This awe-inspiring production began in 1997 and served as an outlet for student’s to showcase their design capabilities while competing for minimal scholarship funds. The show has evolved from its initial beginnings in the College of Textile’s Convocation Center to a full scale production now held in the 1,500 seat Talley Ballroom on main campus.

Fashion Exposé showcases the work of many diverse desingers each year. The 2015 show contained 15 student designers and more than 60 models walked the runway wearing the unique designs created by NC State’s very own students. Each year the production grows in size and as does the audience.

The focus of the 19th Annual AATS Fashion Exposé is on the present. The younger generations are revolutionizing what fashion means today. They’ve ditched extravagant patterns and have begun featuring monochromatic color schemes in their wardrobes. They are taking it back to simplicity, but with a twist.

Tickets for the fashion show are $5 for students, $10 general admission, and $25 for VIP seating.  The show will be at 8 p.m., Thursday, April 7 in Talley Student Union.
