The Wilson College of Textiles (COT) decided to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Carter-Finley Stadium (happening during the 2016-17 academic year) and the contributions of the Carter family with the creation of an anniversary bookmark incorporating Carter-Finley into the design.  A competition open to all students, faculty, staff and alumni was announced in October. Many creative designs were submitted, and a winner has been selected.

The 2017 COT bookmark is designed by Jamie Harvey, a senior studying Fashion and Textile Design with a focus on Textile Design. As her May 2017 graduation approaches, she says one of the things she will miss most about NC State is the football.

“The energy of the stadium is where I drew my inspiration. There is no way to explain the feeling that you get as a student cheering on the players. Game days are some of my most favorite memories and I wanted to capture the feeling of being immersed in the stadium full of fans within my bookmark design,” she said.

In addition to bragging rights and a place in COT history, Harvey received a $50 gift card as a prize.
