What was your path to this position?
I previously worked in Accounting positions in the private sector with Collins & Aikman (Automotive Textiles) and Masonite Corporation. In 2005 I joined East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine for a little over nine years. In 2014 I transferred to NC State University working in Marine, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, and Electrical and Computer Engineering through 2018. My husband received a job opportunity in Jacksonville, Florida so we moved there in 2018. We returned to North Carolina in 2021, where I returned to NC State here in Wilson College of Textiles.
Why were you interested in this position / in working at the Wilson College?
I was interested in the opportunity to work again in Research Administration and to be part of the great team here at the Wilson College of Textiles.
What are your duties on a day-to-day basis?
I’m responsible for the grants administration of the post award management for contracts and grants.
What is your favorite part of your job and/or working at the Wilson College of Textiles?
Working with such a great team!
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughters, grandchildren and family, working in my flower garden, walking my dog Bella and traveling either to the beach or the mountains!
