What was your path to this position?
I earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in information technology here at NC State. I was a student worker in the IT field at NC State for three years. I then acted as an interim system administrator for the mathematics department in the College of Sciences at NC State for a few months in the summer between my Junior and Senior year of college.
Why were you interested in this position / in working at the Wilson College?
I worked here as a student for almost a year-and-a-half and enjoyed the environment and people I worked with. I also enjoy working in IT in higher education.
What are your duties on a day-to-day basis?
I’m constantly met with new challenges every day. To keep it basic, I constantly triage IT tickets as they come in, especially elevated tickets that are above the scope of our support technicians and work on a variety of projects to improve our IT infrastructure.
What is your favorite part of your job and/or working at the Wilson College of Textiles?
The friendly and collaborative environment.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Watching horror movies, playing video games, working on a variety of arts and crafts and spending time with family and friends.
