Growing up in Jurong in Southeast China, TECS Associate Professor Wei Gao displayed a strong interest in fibers and fabrics, and later, a passion for advanced materials research. Her love of learning and unparalleled work ethic culminated in her receiving NC State’s prestigious University Faculty Scholar designation.
