Spring 2017 Commencement Brings a Record Number of Graduates
On Saturday, May 13, NC State University’s Wilson College of Textiles graduated its largest class ever, 245 students. In all, 209 bachelor’s degrees were awarded along with 30 master’s degrees and six doctorates. When combined with the students who graduated in December 2016, the total graduation figures from the 2016-17 academic year year for the Wilson College of Textiles are 271 bachelor’s degrees, 56 master’s degrees and 26 doctorates, for a total of 353 graduates for the 2016-17 academic year.
The Senior Speaker was Claire Hider of Kernersville, N.C., a Fashion and Textile Design (Textile Design concentration) graduate.
