What was your path to this position?
I worked as an IT student worker for the Wilson College of Textiles while pursuing a computer science degree at NC State. I felt like I was well-qualified for the position, that I’d enjoy the work, and I enjoy the work culture here.
What are your duties on a day-to-day basis?
I typically answer high-level support calls that the student workers can’t handle alone. I also manage licensing, automation and our web servers.
What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is whenever I finish creating a new automation or workflow that helps improve the efficiency of the student workers or the rest of the college, as I enjoy when I can see the improvements that come as a result of my work.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy playing video games and Dungeons and Dragons, and collecting Transformers.
