Blend Mentorship Program

Our successful Wilson College of Textiles graduates have a wealth of knowledge to offer to the next generation of textile leaders. Blend connects them with outstanding students who can directly benefit from their expertise.

blend: to form a harmonious combination

The Blend Mentorship Program was created by the Dean’s Young Alumni Leadership Council (DYALC) in 2020 to provide undergraduate seniors and graduate students with an opportunity to build their professional skills, foster new relationships and connect with young alumni who are working in their area of interest.

For Alumni

We hope that you will consider applying to serve as a mentor for a Wilson College of Textiles student. The 2022-23 Blend Mentorship application will close on Sept. 11, 2022.

Don’t think you have enough experience? There are so many intangibles that you picked up during your journey to becoming a Wilson College graduate that our students need to know, such as:

  • Secrets to staying motivated and finishing strong
  • Tips and tricks for the job search process
  • How to acclimate to a new workplace

For Graduating Seniors and Graduate Students

Are you looking to gain real-world experience within the textile industry? The Blend Mentorship Program is the perfect opportunity to expand your textiles knowledge, improve your networking skills and add impressive work experience to your resumé.

Members of the Dean’s Young Alumni Leadership Council will pair you with a Wilson College graduate in the field you’re interested in exploring. Our alumni mentors represent all of the college’s undergraduate and graduate degrees, along with various geographical locations, experience levels and backgrounds.
