Taking lessons from the classroom to the lab!
Lindsay Davis, a senior majoring in polymer and color chemistry, is doing just that as a student employee in the Zeis Textiles Extension’s Dyeing and Finishing Lab. She works on projects for both industry partners and fellow #NCStateWilson students.
“It’s been really helpful to kind of learn the concepts in class, learn about the machines in class, and then actually get to apply that knowledge,” she says.

It’s time fashion stopped gatekeeping and started focusing on designs that make EVERYONE feel comfortable and confident.
During their capstone course last semester, seniors in our fashion development and product management program partnered with industry leaders to develop collections based on accessibility and sustainability.
From fashion for the ALS community, to plus-size Y2K designs, to sustainable garments created using interior fabrics, these students are breaking down barriers in the fashion industry.
