The World of Textiles Awaits
It's a multibillion-dollar global industry that's integrated into everything we do — and you could drive the field's next big advancements.
Leading the Way in Textiles Education
Textiles are all around us: from the playing field to the runway, shielding first responders from danger or even shoring up a human heart. At the Wilson College of Textiles, we teach you to apply textiles thinking to the grand challenges facing our world.
By the time you leave here, you’ll know there are thousands of ways to use what you’ve learned in a career that you’ll love. And because ours is the only college on this continent solely focused on textiles, our graduates are among the most sought-out anywhere.

Raleigh ➡️ High Point!
Our #NCStateWilson fashion and textile design students hit the road this fall for the Textile Fair by ITA!
During the trip, they showed off their textile designs for the Cotton Incorporated Competition. Each student was challenged to create cotton-rich pieces that mix contemporary design with the qualities of this fiber that make it an industry staple.
Amelia Boys, Abby Galbo and Grace Avery created the winning designs.

“There’s no place like home!” That’s exactly what #NCStateWilson alum Claire Henson (TE ‘22) would say.
After making the most of her time at Wilson and graduating with her bachelor’s and later her master’s, Claire has gone on to build a successful career at Under Armour, where she works as a material developer.
“My education at the Wilson College of Textiles prepared me tremendously for what I am doing today,” she shares. “Every project and assignment is applicable in the real world for both the content and the process of how you got there.”

She’s a founder, CEO and now, a graduate!
Annie Hoyt (FTD-FDPM ‘25) came to #NCStateWilson to learn how to grow her company and manage it properly. She opened DENI, a womenswear brand that incorporates adjustable sizing designs, right after graduating high school and has continued to grow it during her time here. She’s even been able to take advantage of many entrepreneurial opportunities.
Annie says the advice she’d give to her younger self is to “slow down.”
